ASM Global

Launched an environmental hygiene protocol in response to evolving guest expectations. VenueShield, its comprehensive reopening program will ensure that protocols and procedures are being activated in various stages worldwide at more than 325 ASM Global managed facilities, providing the highest levels of safety, security and consumer confidence, in alignment with approvals from local government officials and health care experts. ASM Global’s VenueShield Task Force is implementing new protocols and procedures at facilities, in accordance with international health care guidelines from the CDC, NHS, PHAA, and WHO. Oak View Group

Launched a new task force mandated to safely reopen America’s live entertainment and public facilities. OVG’s task force said it will review and test over 180 products, solutions, and technologies to protect all who enter into these facilities. OVG will make sure venues, the seats, concourses, restrooms, concession stands, locker rooms, staffing spaces, and the clubs are properly sanitized. The Oak View Group task force is focusing its attention across five pillars:

1. Developing standards along with its partnership with Delos, the Pioneer of Wellness Real Estate.

2. Testing solutions and technology.

3. Advising working groups on said standards and technology.

4. Advising the working groups on capital expenditure spends.

5. Auditing system that will lead to certification.

International Association of Venue Managers IAVM

Launched the Academy for Venue Safety and Security (AVSS), where you are able to build knowledge, skills and expertise in the risk management core competencies to secure all public assembly facilities. Stadium Managers Association has responded to the Covid-19 pandemic by providing a central location on their website for resources to highlight the best practices, opportunities, and information that are valuable for their members. The categories for resources include, manger resources, stadium heroes, general resources, corporate resources, and vendor heroes. From the SMA website you can find up to date information and guidelines pertaining to Covid-19.
